Society and culture: X “Children's Days in St. Petersburg” Festival

The tenth "Children's Days in St. Petersburg" festival will go during school holidays from October 31 to November 9, on November 15-16 and November 22-23, 2014.

"Children's days in St. Petersburg" is a large-scale partnership project, annually bringing together more than 30 museums in the city (this time - 44 museums and three libraries, Botanical Garden, loft and the curious adults’ club).

The festival targets two audiences: museum employees and city community with children. The first ones will get out of festival a chance to share experiences, to improve skills and to establish partner relationships. The second - will have fun spending interesting and useful time in museums, communicating between themselves and with museum professionals.

In 2014, the festival will ran again the "Museum and Children's Culture: Active Participation, Play and Fun" All-Russian professional forum, gathering in St. Petersburg museum staff employees from across the country, as well as foreign experts.

Petersburg’s experience has become a model for other cities in Russia, similar inter museum projects already has been organized in Moscow ("Family Travel") and Perm ("Ready, Set... into Museum!").
