International events: The exhibition, dedicated to the Scottish city of Moffat, opened in Moscow
As part of the Year of Culture of Russia, the cross Year of Great Britain – Russia and the partnership with Moffat Book Events on October 28, 2014 in the White hall of the M. I. Rudomino Library of Foreign Literature (Moscow) opens the exhibition dedicated to the Scottish city of Moffat.
First of all this city became famous for its history, cultural heritage and mineral sources. Today the city is renowned for its friendliness and active cultural life.
The exhibition "Moffat: in faces and images" - an attempt to look at the city from the inside, through the eyes of its inhabitants, to understand what and how it lives. At the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with this unique city through the pictures of Maria Popova and Philippe Hardy and the presentation with stories of local residents. This exhibition, according to its organizers, may be useful in learning about the positive experience of the device and the cultural development of a small provincial town.
The exhibition "Moffat: in faces and images" is complemented by the exhibition of painting of the Scottish artist Claire Sutherland "Air of flowers" in a Beige room of the Library.
The exhibition will run until November 30, 2014.
