Russian culture abroad: The exhibition of Russian avant-garde theater sets and costumes in London

October 18, 2014 in the Victoria and Albert Museum (London, UK) in the framework of the "cross" Year of Russia and the United Kingdom opened the exhibition "Russian Avant-Garde Theatre: War, Revolution and Design 1913-1933 years".

The exhibition features about 150 pieces of scenery and costumes by Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, Vladimir Tatlin, Alexandra Exter, El Lissitzky, Liubov Popova and Varvara Stepanova. In addition to the exhibits from the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum (Moscow), the exhibition features objects from the St. Petersburg Museum of Theatre and Music.

The exhibition in London will run until January 2015.
