Memory of Russia: The exhibition “Collector of Holy Rus’ – St. Sergius of Radonezh” to the 700th birthday anniversary of the Saint in Chelyabinsk

In Chelyabinsk in the Exhibition hall of the Union of Artists is opened the exhibition “Holy Rus’ – Saint Sergius of Radonezh”. The exposition is dedicated to the 700th birthday anniversary of the Saint.

The purpose of the exhibition is the preservation of cultural and moral values, the strengthening of spiritual unity of Russian people through the demonstration of respect to the historical and spiritual heritage of Russia.

The stands contain paintings and drawings of Chelyabinsk artists, dedicated to the theme of St. Sergius of Radonezh and the Orthodox culture, the traveling exhibition “Heritage of Sergius of Radonezh”, spiritual books, related to Orthodox culture of the people (from personal collections of imitative group) as well as a photo exhibition “Russia of Sergius of Radonezh. XXI century” – totally more than 60 exhibits.

The exhibition is accompanied with films “The Abbot of Russian Land”, “St. Sergius of Radonezh”, video from the exhibiton of Honored Artists of Russia Paul Ryzhenko “Great Feat of a Great Nation”.
