Exhibitions: The exposition of works of art of the XIX century opened in the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts

The exhibition “The XIX century in the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts collection” opened on October 16, 2014.

The exhibition of works of art of the XIX century from the Rostov Regional museum of Fine Arts collection is conceived in the year declared the Year of Russian Culture. This is the first large-scale exhibition of one of the most important periods of Russia art. The exposition “The XIX century in the RRMFA collection” will allow considering a collection more fully, deeply and diverse in the composition of presented exhibits. Paintings of famous Russian artists, sculptural works by famous masters, and rarely exhibited objects of decorative-applied art are waiting its “publications”. The work of famous painters – I. Kramsky, V. Surikov, I. Levitan, A. Vasnetsob, I. Repin, D. Polenov, N. Dubrosvky and other masters is presented by original, authentic works.

The newly acquired bust of the writer L. N. Tolstoy – dominant influence of his era – is presented.

The exhibition is a kind of demonstration of results of the scientific work of a group.
