Society and culture: The I Moscow International Forum “Culture. Looking to the Future”

The I Moscow International Forum “Culture. Looking to the Future”, organized by the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow, takes place from October 15-18, 2014 in the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” (Moscow).

The Forum “Culture. Looking into the Future” - an open public project, which is open to all comers, and at the same time the amount of events that are important for the international community of professionals in the field of culture, science and art. At the same time it will be the point of intersection of relevant interests and opportunities of urban problems and prospects, social needs and interests.

The Forum will be the first experience of professional analysis and discussion of changes of metropolitan cultural environment in recent years, and will form the agenda for further development. In three thematic clusters of the Forum - "Culture and Citizens", "Culture and professionals" and "Culture and the City" - will perform Russian and international experts in the field of cultural and creative industries, the development of territories, marketing, economics, and sociology of culture and others.

The Forum will be the central event of the Year of 2014 and will bring together more than 4,000 participants from 15 countries. On two floors of "Manege" will place different areas of the forum. The lower floor will be given to the closed professional program. On the ground floor "Manezh" within 4 days of the forum will be held the festival, which will present the best Moscow cultural initiatives of the last three years and future projects.

Master classes and lectures, presentations, museums, libraries, and cultural centers, concerts and film screenings, plays and performances, as well as children's activities - all the events of the festival program will be open to the general public.
