History and culture: Children’s literature of 1950-60s presented in Moscow

October 11, 2014 at the Russian State Children's Library (Moscow) with the support of Ministry of Culture of Russia is opening an interactive exhibition for children and adults "The Noon, the XX century: opening the pages of children's literature of 1950-60s". Children and adults will be able to see the books and illustrations, listen to the music and watch cartoons of 1956-1968.

The exhibition brings children at a time when their grandparents were young, introduces the best books of the time, talks about how their favorite characters appeared. Adults are offered books that they read, movies and cartoons which they looked, to choose what they want to share with children and grandchildren. The exhibition highlights six themed zones: an exhibition of books, an exhibition of illustrations, "gallery of children's writers", historical and bibliographic exhibition, as well as an interactive play area and a relaxation area.
