Russian museums: The exhibition of lacquer miniature “Fabulous Palekh” from the collection of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art in Naryan-Mar

In the Exhibition hall of the business and cultural center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Naryan-Mar) took place the opening of the exhibition of lacquer miniature "Fabulous Palekh" from the collection of the Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art. Palekh miniature – a peoples’ trade, was born in the village of Palekh of the Ivanovo region. Delicate art of Palekh lacquer miniature rose by Old Russian icon painting and folk art.

This year, in the village of Palekh will be celebrated the anniversary - the ninetieth anniversary of the Palekh miniature. Worldwide, this painting, along with Khokhloma and Gzhel is known as a traditional Russian art craft.

The exhibition, which opened in Naryan-Mar, features more than 50 works by the most famous painters, citizens of the city and county can learn by visiting the exhibition "Fabulous Palekh", which will continue its work until the end of November 2014.
