Society and culture: Unique exhibits from the collection of artworks of the XX century presented in Orel
In the Orel Museum of Fine Arts opened the exposition "Russian art of the XX century. Painting". It was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia in the framework of the plan of major events celebrating the 450th anniversary of the city of Orel.
The exposition features the most valuable and unique exhibits of the largest museum collection of works of art of the XX century. First of all, a group of works by artists, representatives of the Russian avant-garde of 1910-1930s: N. S. Goncharova, M. V. Le Dante, A. V. Lentulova, N. A. Udaltsova, A. F. Sofronova. The most unusual exhibit of this section is two-sided painting by B. V. Ender "Colours of Nature" and E. G. Guro "Tea Party".
The second, the most significant part of the exhibition are works by artists – of "sixties", as representatives of the realist school of painting, and trends such as "severe style", primitivism, avant-garde movement studio ("new reality" of E. Belutin).
Conceptually, the periods of 1910 – 1930s and 1960s are combined with the idea of searching, the need for innovation, the pursuit of liberation from artistic stamps. The parallel existence in the same space of traditional realist school of painting and alternative art movements to create a dynamic, information-rich display, gave contemporary sound art of the past.
