Society and culture: The exhibition of works by Konstantin Korovin from the State Russian Museum collection in Murmansk

October 3, 2014 in the Murmansk Art Museum is opening the exhibition of works by Konstantin Korovin, one of the first Russian impressionists. The exposition features more than 50 works from the State Russian Museum collection (Saint-Petersburg). 

The freshness and directness of the world perception, free and temperamental style of writing, life-affirming nature of images brought the author a well-deserved reputation of the largest representative of the “Russian Impressionism”. A wonderful art talent of Konstantin Korovin – a recognized master of landscape and still life, brightly and fully revealed in the field of portrait and genre painting. The nature of artist’s search also reveals the included exposition works of theatre-decoration art.

The exhibition will run until December 14, 2014.
