International events: The State Darwin Museum hosts Days of Norway, dedicated to Thor Heyerdahl

In the framework of the "Thor Heyerdahl" devoted to the legendary scientist and traveler, from 13 to 30 November 2014 in the State Darwin Museum (Moscow) are held "Days of Norway in the Darwin Museum".

The museum continues its exhibition "Thor Heyerdahl" dedicated to the centenary of the famous Norwegian explorer and scientist, anthropologist, a legendary man for the generations. The exhibition tells about the expeditions that brought him international fame: "Kon-Tiki", "Ra", "Ra - II", "Tigris", as well as travel to exotic islands: Fatu Hiva and Easter Island.

The museum also hosts a meeting with the famous travelers, followers of the Norwegian scientist: November 20, a special guest, Alexander Davydov, coordinator of the expedition Thor Heyerdahl "Azov" 2001, Ph.D., a member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Ecological Problems of the North will talk about whether Thor Heyerdahl answered at the end of his life the important question: whence originates Scandinavian culture?

November 27 will be devoted to the German experimental archaeologist and traveler Dominique Görlitz. Inspired by the expeditions of Thor Heyerdahl, Goerlitz took a perilous journey aboard a catamaran cane "Abor-III".
