Society and Culture: "Night of Art" will be held in Moscow and throughout Russia

"Night of Art" event will be held on the night of November 3-4, 2014, in Moscow, on the initiative of the Department of Culture and within a framework of Year of Culture. This fall, the action will take place throughout entire country, laid out in unified identity style, given to the event by Moscow's action.

Guests of the "Night of Art" in 2014, regardless of age, will get a chance to trial themselves in various fields of art - painting, sculpture, literature, acting and music, visiting master classes and workshops of prominent cultural figures, that will be organized in theaters, museums, libraries, cultural centers, concert halls and movie theaters.

Thus, the "Museum 2.0" project will link together the museums and scientific literary focuses by its special program and will drive the guests of "Night of Art" to participate in building the exhibition ambiance of the future - anyone will be able to suggest an exposition plan or a new format of excursions. The main venue of the project will be the Museum of Moscow, which will hold an interactive campaign "Perfect Museum in Town."

The theatre admirers will certainly appeal to a special project entitled "How to Play a Part?" during open classes of famous actors, directors and stage designers, which will gain a footing upon the theatrical boards.

Art-clusters and such unconventional spaces, as the Planetarium, will become the arenas for musical lectures of "How to Tame Music?" special project.

At the city libraries well known Russian poets and writers will teach guests of the "Night of Art" to create small literary forms as part of a special project called "How to keep a Diary?" For younger guests of the venues the libraries prepared animation workshops and lectures about contemporary art.

In 2014 "Night of Art" for the first time will be held in the capital's universities; for the entrants, students and recent graduates it will be peculiar and entitled the "Night of the Student Art."

This year Yandex.Afisha will join "Night of Art". On October 30th the service has launched a special project - a guide to all action’s sites. Mobile version of the special Yandex.Afisha project will help to navigate through the night festival and to manage to hit all the high spots.

For the first time in the history of night initiatives of the Department of Culture together with the portal “Active Citizen" organizes city quest "City of the Arts", which will bring together the most interesting sites participating the action.
