History of Russia: The fund “History of the Fatherland” to be created in our country

The fund "History of the Fatherland" will be established by the Government to popularize the history of Russia. A draft decree of the President of the Russian Federation is placed at the official website of information disclosure on the development of normative legal acts.

"In order to promote Russian history in our country and abroad, the preservation of historical heritage and traditions of the peoples of Russia, supporting programs of historical education decree I say: to consider it appropriate to establish a fund" History of the Fatherland", - stated in the draft document. According to it, the founder of the Fund will be the Government of Russia, and the fund's assets will be formed at the expense of allocations from the federal budget, voluntary property contributions and donations.

At the moment, the draft decree goes through the stage of public discussion, which ended on January 10, 2015.
