December 28, 2014 in the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum will be open the federal multimedia historical documentary project "Look into the eyes of the war. Russia during the First World War in newsreel, photographs, documents" within the framework of the project "From Victory to Victory".
Visitors will see a series of 17 documentary films based on unique newsreels and hear music from the collection of the State Film and Photo Archive. Themed interactive panels immerse in the historical events of the war through original documents, newsreels, photographs, letters, maps, major battles, eyewitness accounts, postcards and posters from museums and archives of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Germany and the UK.
When preparing the exhibition project were used rare materials of 15 Russian and 13 foreign museums, archives, galleries and organizations. The exhibition features more than 600 original exhibits of the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation and private collections. The uniqueness of the exhibition project is to combine the use of modern technical methods and means for more vivid visualization of historical events.
The large-scale exhibition project is developed by the State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO" and implemented with the assistance of the Russian Military-Historical Society in August 2014 in Novy Manezh (Moscow). The first region of Russia, which exhibits a multimedia and exhibition project, is the Arkhangelsk region.
