28 December 2014

Until February 19, 2015 at the Museum of Industry and Art in Ivanovo takes place the exhibition "World of Toys a Century Ago", which features rare toys and games, as well as books, school supplies, clothing and shoes of the XIX - early XX century from Russia, Germany, France, England and the United States from the collection of Tatiana Makeeva.

The exhibition displays antique dolls, doll clothes and other "dowry" for dolls; sets of soldiers and children's arms; skipping rope, hoop and much more for outdoor games; a variety of table games - baby dominoes, cards, bingo and puzzles.

There a lot of technical toys and games: children's phone, writing and sewing machines, "magic lantern", a microscope and a stereoscope, e-quiz with signal bell. There are games for the development of creative abilities: the mosaic, painting sets, painting, embroidery and decoupage. A separate section of the collection are children's portraits and images of children playing in the works of painting, drawing and applied arts, including the pages of fashion magazines.

Several interactive exhibits invite visitors to the game: to find the hidden characters in the picture, to find errors in the "book of absurdities", to dress paper dolls according to your taste.
