The exhibition will feature more than thirty pieces, covering the period from the IV BC until the end of the XIX century. Among them - the early medieval statues of the Buddha of the North-Western India (Gandhara, IV-V centuries AD); Buddhist stone stelae from China, dating from the reign of Northern Dynasties (IV-VI centuries AD); monumental fragment of temple decoration from Cambodia, made in the style of the famous Bayonne style (XII century); sculptures of bodhisattvas from Nepal (XVII century); Chinese porcelain of the XVII-XVIII centuries; Japanese screens and works of small plastic bones of the Meiji era (XIX-XX centuries).

New acquisitions will be an important addition to permanent exhibitions halls of the Art of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. They will help shape new exhibitions - from the history of Buddhist art in China to the iconography of Hindu gods, as well as provide material for research.
