Internet and culture: Virtual daily calendar for reading lovers, to be launched at the website of the Pushkin Reserve

From January 1, 2015 as part of the Year of Literature in Russia, at the website of the Pushkin Reserve runs a virtual daily calendar developed by reserve worker, speaking to fans of reading. In the calendar of events the preference is given to the life and work of A. S. Pushkin, names and literary events, converted to his memory, as well as involved in the history of the Pushkin Reserve. Following the general rules of the literary calendar, the tribute is paid to the classics of Russian and world literature, writers, jubilee and our contemporaries, marked by prestigious literary prizes. In the year of the 70th Victory anniversary the focus is on writers whose work is related to the theme of the Great Patriotic War. In addition, in the selection of materials for each month of the year is corresponding to a time sustained. Illustrations, with rare exceptions, present a reader of the Calendar a collection of museum funds and museum library.     

It should be noted that in one calendar day may be connected events from different eras. Russian events related to the XVIII - XIX centuries, are the old style with an indication of the new (European). Those that occurred in the XX century, are the new style, indicating the old if we are talking about what happened before the revolution. Exceptions are landmark of events of "Pushkin" calendar: they are given twice - the old and the new style.
