Information technology and archives: The Archive of Ussuri City District to digitize documents for electronic “Book of Memory”

The largest municipal archive of the Primorsky Krai – the Archive of Ussuri City District – transmits documents into electronic form via ELAR PlanScan A2B. 

The Archive of Ussuri City District is the largest municipal archive in the Primorsky Krai in the number storage units of documents.

According to director of the archive Natalia Likhodedova, due to the growing volume of applications of users primarily to historical documents, the archive of Ussuri City District on new equipment digitized documents from the local military offices that provide information about the soldiers and officers of the Great Patriotic War. In Primorsky Krai, at present, the work is underway to build a database for electronic regional portal of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 “Books of Memory”.
