In 2015 the whole world celebrates the seventieth anniversary of the Second World War 1939-1945. For millions people, who lived in the Soviet Union, it has become the Great Patriotic War.

From the first days of fighting poster artists were "messengers of fine arts from the line of fire". The basis of artistic solutions for them became an outline created in the army, in partisan detachments in the frontal Moscow, in besieged Leningrad. It is a documentary authenticity - the military force of the impact of the poster. There were used images taken from the history of our country - the winner of Kulikovo Field of the Moscow Prince Dmitry Donskoy, the heroes of the Great Patriotic War of 1812.

A special page in the history of the propaganda art are Windows TASS (Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union), issued in Moscow, Leningrad and capitals of the Union Republic. A true symbol of the Victory has become an image of a soldier on the background of inscriptions on the walls of a ruined Reichstag.

Last months of the war, the dominant theme is the return to the Motherland after the hardships of war: from the battlefields, the Nazi captivity.

The victory was achieved by the joint struggle of “fraternal brothers” – shoulder to shoulder the anti-Hitler coalition soldiers confront.

The exhibits, showing all sides of the war years, provide an opportunity to recognize the magnitude of the tragedy and heroism generation of a multi-ethnic country, saved the world from fascism, the generation of victors who brought the world to our country, Europe and Asia.
