
World history: The exhibition, dedicated to the centenary of the First World War, opened in the Kaluga region
Archival documents, original posters of war years, as well as the card with the image of the signing of a ceasefire agreement by the German prince Leopold of Bavaria, the pages of the field book of major General of artillery Leonid Chizhevsky are presented at the exhibition “The First World war. Pages of History”, dedicated to the centenary of this historical event, which opened on December 19, 2014 in the Tarusa Regional Museum in the Kaluga region.
The exposition features photographs of participants of the First World War, who lived in Tarus a century ago - General of Cavalry Alexei Brusilov, cosmo biologist Alexander Chizhevsky, writer and poet Marina Tsvetaeva, the writer Konstantin Paustovky and others famous people in Russia. The centerpiece in the exposition belongs to private, very rare collection of authentic medals and awards of the First World War.
The exhibition in the Tarus Regional Museum will run until the middle of March 2015.
