The Ministry of Culture of Russia plans to create the House of Russian Literature on the basis of the mansion on the Komsomolsky prospect, where is housed the Union of Writers of Russia, said the Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky.

The mansion, built in the XVIII century by the architect Kazakov, recently is operated by the Union of Writers of Russia and is in despair. It is assumed that after the restoration in the building on the Komsomolsky prospect may appear “one of the centers of educational, concert-exhibition, publishing and research activity”. The House will host congresses of writer’s organizations, meetings and presentations. The building will also include children’s center, library and café.
