The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library Collection The Republic of Komi: the pages of history has been enriched with several materials from the National Library of the Republic of Komi.

In the book by N. A. Shakhov Komi in the past and the present (Arkhangelsk, 1932) gives an overview of the Komi Autonomous Region, its population and natural resources. Historical data about the region, the current state of the economy and culture at the moment are covered.

The fifth edition "Notes of the Society for the Study of the Komi region" coming out in Ust-Sysolsk (Syktyvkar) from 1928 to 1930 Contain articles on the history of joining the Russian State of the Pechora region, problems of toponymy of the Komi region and the Komi-Zyrian language.

Komi ancient texts. Issue 2 / V. I. Lytkin (Moscow, 1932) (Supplement to the "Collection of the Commission for collecting the Komi dictionary") contains the inscriptions, made the ancient Komi letters, and two variants of transcription of Komi text found by academician Lepekhin in 1771 in the village Kiber.

"Proceedings of the Polar Commission" are presented with two releases. Issue 10: Catalogue of astronomical points of the Pechora region (M.; L., 1932) is a general summary list of coordinate of astronomical points of the Pechora region (settlements, headlands, islands, rivers, etc.). In Issue 19: Soils of tundra of the Northern Territory (M.; L., 1934) describes the formation of tundra, micro relief on the types of tundra soils, soil subzones of the tundra of the Northern Territory.

The book by I. B. Borozdenko Geology and Mineral Resources of the Komi ASSR (Syktyvkar, 1940) in a compressed form provides a general picture of the geological structure of the country.

The publication "The Komi region: Economic Review". Part 1 (Ust-Sysolsk, 1926) provides a general outline of the Komi region and the physical and geographical survey; describes the geological structure and essential mineral edge, on the population of the ways messages on agriculture, forest and tundra farming, hunting and fishing, of industry and commerce.

The book by A. A. Terentyev Pechora in the Civil War (Syktyvkar, 1933) is one of the first attempts to study the class struggle in the Pechora region. The material for this work were the oral memories of numerous participants, printed materials, newspaper "Krasnaya Pechora" from 1921 to 1931, archive materials of the Mohchensky Volost Executive Committee.

The results of operations of the party organizations in the Komi Republic Party and mass work, trade, farm trade and logging are reflected in Resolutions of the 2 of the joint plenum of the Komi OK and PCC VKP (b) XII convocation: (July 5-9, 1932) (Syktyvkar, 1932).

The publication From the Experience of teachers of Komi ASSR. [Issue 1] (Syktyvkar, 1940) contains a methodical material accumulated by school personnel, on the following topics: planning of the head teacher and the class teacher, the teaching of the Russian language, arithmetic, geography, and literary reading in school Komi and etc.
