World History: "On the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle’s visit to Moscow" historical and documentary exhibition

The historical and documentary exhibition titled "On the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle's visit to Moscow" opening ceremony was held at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) on December 8, 2014.

The exhibition was prepared by the Russian Historical Society in conjunction with Rosarchive and the Ministry’s of Foreign Affairs Historical and Documentary Department. The exhibition is focused on the historical documents, including the original of Treaty of Alliance and Mutual Assistance Pact between the USSR and France from December 10, 1944, and the photo documents.

The State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin in his speech at the exhibition opening ceremony said that such historical figures, as Charles de Gaulle, symbolize the Soviet - French brotherhood during the Second World War.
