To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition “Map of a country: military secrets and great hopes” in Yekaterinburg

December 5, 2014 in the V. G. Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Scientific library (Yekaterinburg) takes place the presentation of the exhibition “map of a country: military secrets and great hopes”. The exposition, telling of the map as a weapon and a way to see the war, is organized on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and as part of the Year of Culture in Russia.

The exhibition features original operations maps of the 226 Infantry Division of 1943, publications on military topography from the collections of library, copies of Soviet and German maps of the Great Patriotic War as well as objects of artists Anna Mineeva and Vitaly Cherepanov.
