Information technology and museums: The State Russian Museum presented mobile applications, dedicated to paintings from the museum collection

The State Russian Museum has launched two new mobile applications dedicated to paintings from the museum collection – “Chernetsov. Parade” and “Tsar-Prince”.

“Chernetsov. Parade” is an interactive program and tells of the most famous painting of Grigory Chernetsov “Parade on the occasion of military operations in the Kingdom of Poland on october 6, 1831 on the Tsaritsyno Meadow in Petersburg” (1837). By the application you can get information about each of the 223 characters depicted in the painting, as well as about the objects surrounding the Tsaritsyno Meadow (now the Field of Mars) and today being included in the complex of the State Russian Museum. Among them are the Summer and the Mikhailovsky Gardens, the Mikhailovsky Castle and the Mikhailovsky Palace. Additional information is provided in the form of text and audio stories.

The second application is designed for children from 6 years old, this is an entertaining and educational game built on a story adventures in the rooms of the museum. Several paintings from the collection of the Russian Museum tell the families of the Romanov dynasty. The game helps to examine the details of paintings, toys and costumes of young heir to the throne, Crown trappings of power of the Russian monarchs. The app introduces children to the family and public affairs of the Russian tsars, offers a fascinating musical perform tasks or find unique piece of a museum exhibit.
