Memory of the world: Exhibition “Warsaw Uprising. 1944” in Kaliningrad

December 2, 2104 the Kaliningrad Regional historical and Art Museums hosts the exhibition “The Warsaw Uprising. 1944”.

The exhibition is prepared by the Warsaw Uprising Museum, and is dedicated to one of the brightest and most tragic events of the Polish history. It became for the Polish a symbol of courage to fight for independence. Photographs and documents, presented in the exhibition, tell about the uprising against the Nazi occupiers in Warsaw on August 1 to October 2, 1944, organized and launched by the command of the Home Army and the representative of the Polish government in exile. At the exhibition visitors can see rare historical materials from the collections of the National Library, the Polish Agency for offline photographers Foundation "Polish-German reconciliation", the Institute of National Remembrance, the West Institute, the Museum of the Polish Army, the Katyn Museum, the National Digital Archive, the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising. 

The organizer of the exhibition is the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Kaliningrad.

The exhibition runs until the end of December.
