Society and book culture: The National festival of historical book “Property of Time” in Ulyanovsk

December 1-3, 2014 in Ulyanovsk is held the National Festival of Historical Book “Property of Time”.

On the eve of the 250^th anniversary of the birth of historiographer of the Russian state N. M. Karamzin which will be celebrated in Russia in 2016, the festival is designed to present a wide panorama of Russian history, its main milestones, reflected in the book =, in historical and philological science.

Famous Russian writers, historians, specialists on the field o regional history, representative of mass media, art unions, association, clubs are invited for the participation.

As part of the Festival it will be held public lectures of famous Russian writers.

Ulyanovsk residents and guests of the city are invited to the round table “Historical Truth or art fiction: what are the limits” with the participation of scientists-historians of Moscow, Samara, Kazan, Ulyanovsk. 

The key milestones of the Russian history will be presented at the exhibition-fair “History is the holy books of peoples…N. M. Karamzin”.

The festival program also involves the opening of the book exhibition-fair “Historical book toady”, poetry slam “History under the pen of poets”, tournament of intellectual games “What? Where? When?”, interactive historical  portraits, interviews-presentations and other events.
