The researches director of Moscow Planetarium Faina Borisovna Rubleva comments: "We have prepared this exhibition with a great appreciation to Moscow State Univercity and its staff employees, what always help and bring honor and name to the Moscow Planetarium. When in 1927 the decision of creating a Planetarium was made, the management of National Education Committee saw that in addition to erecting a building and fitting it out with equipment it is important to enlist the services of professional astronomers, advisers and instructors. They appealed to the Moscow State, and its professionals had kindness to respond and to help to open the Planetarium’s and to set it going. Particular attention was paid to the opening of the Astronomical site - here there already were the academician A. A. Mikhailov, MSU’s professor K. L. Baev and Soviet astronomer B. A. Vorontsov-Velyaminov in person. In addition to consulting, such huge people were working as the guides, telling visitors about the Planetarium’s exhibits. The fact that today the Planetarium Academic Council is on 80 percent consists of MSU staff, and its rector V. A. Sadovnichii is the chairman of the Academic Council, is a great honor for us."
