Internet and Society: New website of Russian Ministry of Communications is launched

A new version of the official website of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation is done. It differs from a previous one in its easy information interface design, clear structure and compatibility with all modern browsers and types of devices. The new site allows using assistive technology for handicapped people.

As part of the new site current activities of the Ministry with the steps, figures, events and documents have been consolidated into a single section titled Activity.

History, work objectives and structure of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russian Federation are presented in the About the Ministry section.

The news line and the media monitoring by the Ministry’s choice of topics are available under the Events. Current website is integrated with the social networks: now the Ministry can publish news in social networks and aggregate of external social feeds on its own Internet pages.

The new site’s version includes a database of electronic documents, contact information for all departments and special section for individual appeals to the Ministry. The application form of these appeals has been improved and completed with files attachment functional.

The site works with search hints and smart filters.

There is an English language version of the website in addition to Russian.

The website objective is to become a convenient tool of interaction between the Ministry and average people, as well as the industry professionals.
