Regions of Russia: The exhibition project “How archaeological treasures were collected” in Stavropol

January 23, 2015 the G. N. Prozritelev and G. K. Prave Stavropol State Museum-Reserve hosts the exhibition project "How archaeological treasures were collected" (the history of archaeological study of the Stavropol region). This is the first in a series of events in 2015 to mark the 110th anniversary of the Museum.

The XVIII century is the starting point of archaeological study of the Stavropol land. The exhibition presents the materials describing the stages of development of archeology in the Stavropol region in the people and objects of research. These are archaeological, historical photos, reports, diaries of archaeological research, publications Proceedings of the Stavropol a scientific archive committee, materials for the study of the Stavropol Territory and "Prozritelev readings" and much more.

On the basis of the exhibition is planned to carry out various activities for the general public. For pupils, students and anyone interested will be conducted interactive sessions by the method of archaeological study of sites.
