To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The Northwest Memory Book

The representative office of the Russian Military-Historical Society in the Northwest Federal District and the Plenipotentiary office of President of the Russian Federation in the NWFD started a joint work over the project “Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten” – the district Memory Book.

The project is aimed at the creation of the system of public monitoring and the accountant of graves and materials of Soviet soldiers on the territory of a district, as well as a single name database on the dead and the buried. Currently, the Memory Book already contains many military burials in Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region. In the near future the project will be added with a list of military memorials and burials in the Novgorod and Vologda regions.

Until the end of the current year is planned to map a mass graves, memorials of Soviet soldiers on the territory of all the subjects of the Northwest Federal District.
