History and culture: The exhibition “Posters of the Fighting Pencil” in Saint-Petersburg

January 20, 2015 in the gallery “Blue Living Room” of the Saint-Petersburg Union of Artists opens the exhibition of an artist Feodor Nelyubin “Posters of Fighting Pencil”.

The exposition includes posters of different periods of the artist. “Feodor Nelyubin – is one of the leading masters of the art union “Fighting Pencil”, emerged in 1939 during the war with White Finns. In military terms artists sent their lists to the front as ideological weapon, inspiring front workers”, - told at the press-service of the Union of Artists.

Feodor Nelyubin created more than 500 posters, illustrated books and journals. Works of the author was awarded first degree at the art exhibition “Leningrad – Dresden”, on 1973 Feodor Nelyubin in a team was awarded the first prize at the 2nd International exhibition “Satire in the struggle for peace”. Works of the author are in private collections in Russia and abroad.

Petersburg residents will be able to visit the exhibition until February 8.
