History and culture: The exhibition, dedicated to the Tatar poet and educator Gabderahim Utyz Imyani in Kazan

Until February 25, 2015 at the Museum of Islamic culture (Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin") is held an exhibition "Gabderahim Utyz Imyani: path to the pearls of knowledge", which is poetic and theological heritage of outstanding Tatar poet, scholar and theologian, teacher and educator Gabderahima Utyz Imyani (1754-1836). The exhibition marks the 260th anniversary of the thinker.

Among the exhibits are publications and manuscripts of works by G. Utyz Imyani from the funds from the N. I. Lobachevsky Kazan (Volga) Federal University and the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as items of Tatar life from the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin".

Thinker created more than 60 works written in Arabic, Persian, and old-Tatar language. In Arabic and Persian are written his theological work. Most of the works of G.Utyz Imyani are written in old-Tatar language. In the national environment were the most popular of his poetry (Bait, munadzhaty, qasidas and etc.). Poetry of G. Utyz Imyani mainly consists of works edifying content, based on the Muslim moral and ethical concept.

The exhibition will show G. Utyz Imyani as a recognized master of calligraphy - presented his autographs; talk about him as the restorer of the Samarkand manuscript of the Quran of Uthman. Finally, G. Utyz Imyani appear as textual, for the first time amounting critical text "Tales of Yusuf" (Kyssa-and Yusuf) Kul Gali.

The exhibition is part of the "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014".
