
To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition of works of front artists opened at the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum
February 23, 2015 at the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum was opened the exhibition of works of front artists “Touched by War”.
The opening of the exhibition was the first event of this year within the framework of the historical and patriotic project “From Victory – to Victory” of the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum, which is implemented since 2012.
In 2015 the project is dedicated to the memorable date of the military history – the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The historical and patriotic project “From Victory to Victory” presents the military history of Russia of the XVIII – XX centuries on the basis of the regional material. It brings together organizations and creative teams.
The exhibition “Touched by War” was the result of serious research and collecting work. For the first time the attention of a wide range is paid to more than 130 works by artists of the region - the participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War from a private collection and the museum fund. Visitors can get acquainted not only with the work of artists, soldiers, but also learn the history of their lives.
Within the framework of the project the museum will host class hours for schoolchildren “Patriotic cinema lecture”; social and patriotic actions “Stop!”, “Victory lives in the heart of everyone”, “Let’s remember everyone be name!”, “Dove of Peace” and others; solemn celebrations of the Day of Arkhangelsk Novodvinskaya fortress, the opening of the traveling exhibition “Coastal Defense o Arkhangelsk”.
