Russian culture abroad: The exhibition of books, dedicated to the life of Russian emigration, opened in Beirut
The exhibition of books, dedicated to the life of Russian emigration and its prominent representatives, opened at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Beirut. The exposition includes more than 300 editions.
According to the Chairman of the Director of the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad (Moscow) Igor Domnin, he is interested in Library of the Russian technical Association, which was managed to keep by the local church community – here are collected unique books and magazines, which do not have analogues in the world. According to Domnin, “this part of the great Russian spiritual heritage, accumulating abroad”, also recreated “The common spiritual atmosphere, where emigrants lived”.
Books from the library PTO will replenish the fund of the House of Russian Abroad in Moscow. During the visit of the Deputy Director of the House of the Russian Abroad took place the ceremony of transfer of books in Russian Lebanese State University and other universities in Beirut, where the teaching Russian language is done. University libraries replenished with modern editions of Russian classics and philosophers, albums on the history of Russia, its culture and art, dictionaries and textbooks.
