To the Defender of the Fatherland Day: Solemn events in Moscow

The Government of Moscow, the Public Relations Committee of the City of Moscow in conjunction with state and public organizations of the capital holds events dedicated to the celebration of the Defender of the Fatherland Day.

February 19 at the house on Sivtsev Vrazhek 31/13 took place the opening of the ceremony f plaques twice Hero of the Soviet Union A. N. Efimov and Hero of the Soviet Union V. I. Varennikov.

February 23 at 12.40 will be held a ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden, dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day. The action involved members of the Government of Moscow, the Moscow City Duma deputies, members of veterans' organizations, activists, children's and youth associations of the capital, as well as representatives of religious confessions.

- at 14.00 will be held the main city event dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day. In the large conference hall of the Moscow government will be held solemn meeting and a concert for war veterans, labor, armed forces and law enforcement agencies.

In a plan of actions for the preparation and celebration of the Defender of the Fatherland Day is included more than 150 city and over 1500 district and regional events, including concerts and sports memorabilia shares.
