Information technology and libraries: The Kostroma Regional Library creates electronic collections with the use of new equipment

The Kostroma Regional Universal Scientific Library continues works on the creation of electronic collections on local history, periodicals, scientific and methodological literature. 

The Kostroma library, being the largest in the region repository of publications and documents, presents its readers the access not only to paper sources, but also to electronic resources. In particular, the website of the library features “Electronic collection of the region”, containing the regional studies and book monuments of the Kostroma region in digital format.

To continue works on the creation of electronic collections in the library is set a complex of planetary scanning ELAR PlanScan of the series “A1B”. On the equipment with the contactless manner will be digitize originals of the documents of the library to format A1.
