Society and culture: The action “Gift of unselfish soul” to the International Book Giving Day in Pskov

February 14 marks the International Book Giving Day. The Pskov Regional Universal Scientific Library is organizing an action "Gift of unselfish soul".

On this day, for books, gifts from readers and guests the library organizes some sort of "donation sites". First of all, anyone can leave the books in the lending library, where special stands for gift editions will be available.

In addition, in the lobby of the first floor of the library it has been for many years the so-called "safe regiment" - "Book of second life", where readers bring interesting publication, and, in turn, take home favorite ones. And finally, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War it is organized a "birdhouse" called "Migratory books". On this day, the library offers to fill the "house" of children's art and the special edition dedicated to the war.

Library specialists hope that the day of giving books will be the opportunity for Pskov citizens to show the good.
