Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition “Moscow of Pasternak in events and faces”, timed to the 125th anniversary of the poet, in the capital

February 9, 2105 in the I. S. Ostroukhov House in the Trubnikovsky Lane the State Literature Museum, Moscow) opens the exhibition "Moscow of Pasternak in events and faces", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the poet. This is the first complete exhibition of the State Literary Museum, dedicated to Boris Pasternak. The exhibition is based on unique materials from the collections of the museum and the things given to relatives of the poet, many of which are exhibited for the first time.

The exposition is built in chronological order - from birth of Pasternak to his death. In the hall, symbolizing the poet's childhood and youth, visitors can see family photos, letters to the gymnasium friend, graphic works of his father, L. O. Pasternak, photos of Moscow streets and buildings associated with the early period of life of Pasternak. The next part is devoted to the beginning of creativity, familiarity with Mayakovski, closer to the Futurists and entry into poetic association "Centrifuge". Here are the first publications and books of the poet, group photos, posters presentations, cartoons by M. Sinyakova-Urechina on Futurists and other paintings.

In the second are featured rare photos and newsreels that captured fast-paced life of the country since the late 20s to late 30s, as well as evidence of the important points of Pasternak's biography of those years. Here are also placed the First Congress of Soviet Writers; among them pictures of the poet and the draft manuscript of his speech.

In the third hall is presented an installation dedicated to the Great Terror and his victims, many of whom were close to Pasternak people. The theme of the fourth hall - "retreat" of the poet at his dacha in Peredelkino, his stay in the evacuation in Chistopol, work on the novel "Doctor Zhivago" and the period of political persecution. Here you can see lifetime editions with inscriptions, autographs, letters and photos. In the final part of the exhibition are shown films about the fate of Pasternak.

As part of the Year of Boris Pasternak, celebrated by the State Literary Museum will be held a series of conferences, poetry readings and thematic mini-exhibitions highlighting the individual steps of the poet.

The exhibition will run until April 25.
