World history: The exhibition to the 70th anniversary of the Yalta Conference in 1945 in Feodosia

In the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities (Republic of Crimea) from February 4, 2015 is held an exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Crimean (Yalta) conference of the powers allied anti-Hitler coalition, which took place in the White Livadia Palace from 4 to 11 February 1945.

At the Yalta Conference were identified and agreed upon the military plans of the USSR, the USA, the UK for the final defeat of Nazi Germany, outlined the basic principles of a common policy on post-war organization of the world, it was a model of cooperation between states with different political systems. The historical significance of the conference cannot be overemphasized.

The exposition of the museum exhibition presents documents from the case of Ivan Vasilievich Zazvonov, who participated in the preparation of economic Crimea Conference and protection of the British delegation, which is located in the Alupka Palace. Among the exhibits: portraits of I. V. Zazvonov 1941, 1944, 1945., a group photo of soldiers guarding the conference (Yalta, 1945); front-line letter of 11.18.1944, the memories of soldiers who took part in the economic conference preparation and protection of the British delegation.  

The exposition also includes books from the collections of scientific library of the museum, covering in detail how the work of the Yalta Conference and the issues affecting the history of the Second World War. The exhibition presents monographs, encyclopedias, collections of documents.
