Book publishing and book distribution: Books from Russia to be presented in Israel

From February 8-12, 2015 in Israel will be held the traditional Israel International Book Fair. It is held once or twice a year and is an important literary event in the publishing world of Israel.

This year the fair will be held in Old railway station of Jerusalem, where after repair is opened a new cultural and entertainment center “The first station”.

Russia again will become the participant of the exhibition with traditional program “Read Russia”. The fair will feature more than 600 publications of leading Russian publishing houses. At the Russian stand visitors of the fair will find a classic, modern, scientific, educational and children's literature, works of Russian authors, reference books, scientific and popular publications, modern prose and poetry.

The events of the Russian program will take place on literary sites of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Bethlehem.

One of the important tasks of the Russian delegation - presentation of the grant program of the Institute of Translation, which main goal - to support the translation and publication of Russian books in foreign languages abroad.

“Read Russia” - is the largest project in the history of Russian book publishing, the purpose of which is to introduce an international readership with modern Russian literature. The project was initiated and financially supported by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications.
