Society and book culture: The republican action “Literary palette of Chuvashia: 100 books to read”

In the Year of Literature in Russia and the Year of Konstantin Ivanov in Chuvashia Ministry of Culture, Ethnic Affairs and Archives and the National Library of the Chuvash Republic was established the Republican campaign "Literary Palette of Chuvashia: 100 books to read". Its purpose is to identify and promote the best examples of the national literature.

The action is held from March 25 to September 1, 2015 in three phases. The selection of books for the vote before the end of April will be implemented by an expert group to be composed of culture, science, education, representatives of public organizations and the media. The final list will be available for public comment and vote at the Internet website of the National Library of the Chuvash Republic, the results of which will be on May 27 to form a final list of 100 books.

At the final stage the specialists of the National Library will be engaged in digitization of selected literature. The result of this work is to be completed by September 1, 2015, will be the electronic collection "Literary Palette of Chuvashia: 100 books to read". It will be posted at the website of the National Library of the Chuvash Republic, and is available on any electronic device connected to the Internet. Most readable books will be recommended for republication for acquisition of libraries of the country.
