Library associations: Conference of the IFLA section to be held in Zurich

The Metropolitan Libraries Section of IFLA on the theme "Reaching the limits - Cross the borders" will be held at the Library of Pestalozzi in Zurich (Switzerland) on 3-8 May 2015.

The conference program includes four sessions with speakers from Europe, North America and Asia, visiting libraries, meetings with librarians.

The conference theme "Reaching the limits - Cross the borders" tells us that the public libraries, which are conductors of knowledge and information are often very limited in their work to the availability of funding or staff.

These constraints force librarians to rethink their activities and look for new solutions to old problems. The conference will discuss the search for answers to questions about how to deal with these problems.
