Society and book culture: International exhibition of unique books “Many cultures – one history” in Moscow

March 24, 2015 as part of the Russian Week of Children and Youth Book and on the eve of the International Children’s Book (marked April 2) at the Russian State Children’s Library (Moscow) took place the opening of the International exhibition “Many cultures – one history”.

The exhibition is organized by the Russian State Children’s Library together with the Council of Children’s book of Russia and the Saint-Petersburg section and is dedicated to the activity of the International Council for Children’s Book and such projects as “The best children’s books of the world” and “Posters and messages to children of the world to the International Day of Children’s Book”.

Such an exhibition is held in the library for the first time.

All speakers at the opening ceremony noted the uniqueness and historical value of books and materials presented at the exhibition, shared their personal experience in the Russian national section of IBBY in different years and in various projects, thanked specialists of the library for the initiative to organize an international event and the high level of the organization.

The exhibition is open until April 28, 2015.
