Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition “My address – Yalta” to the 155th birth anniversary of A. P. Chekhov opened in Yekaterinburg

The exhibition "My address - Yalta" was opened in Yekaterinburg, in the Museum of D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak. It is timed to two anniversaries - the 155th anniversary of his birthday and the 125th anniversary of his visit to the Ural city.

The exhibition consists of famous eyeglasses and other personal belongings of the Russian writer and playwright stored in the Crimea. Including these brown gloves, which he cared for roses in his garden Yalta, folder-pad with silver lock, in which the writer hid their manuscripts by literary friends, and white tie with pink flowers. All of them are first presented in Yekaterinburg.

The exhibition is a joint project of two houses and museums – the Yalta House Museum of Anton Chekhov and the D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak Yekaterinburg House-Museum. In August, the exhibits devoted to the Urals and creativity Mamin-Siberyak will be presented in Crimea.

"It is remarkable that the borders have gone. We started more in touch and we can now show our collections to more people", - said the director of the Yalta House Museum of Anton Chekhov Alexander Titorenko.

The exhibition "My address - Yalta" in Yekaterinburg will be open until 12 September 2015.
