Information technology and libraries: Interregional conference “Information and multimedia technology in modern library” in Moscow

The N. A. Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library (Moscow) on March 19, 2015 holds the 5^th Interregional Scientific-Practical Conference “Information and multimedia technology in modern library: the development vector”. Real libraries in virtual space: tasks, problems, solutions”.

The main topics of the conference:

- Internet and libraries: the new stage of the development;

- Electronic library card: non standard solution;

- Electronic resource in legal space;

- The National Electronic Library: the search and ways of interaction;

- The virtual librarian: organization and methodological aspects.

The conference is attended by representatives of the Government of Moscow, leaders and leading specialists of libraries, information technology specialists and electronic resources, representatives of companies, who are developers and suppliers of Internet technology, specialists in the field of book publishing and mass media.

The format of the Conference covers plenary session and the roundtable “Expansion of libraries into the virtual space – the imperative of time”, which will consider issues of the promotion of library and information services in a virtual space; legal features of social network and others.  

The online connection of the largest regional libraries in the videoconference mode is considered. At the library and information portal “BiblioGorod” is planned the Internet broadcast of the conference.
