Society and culture: The exhibition of graphics “From Bryullov to Benoit. Era in a drawing” opened in Nizhny Novgorod

In the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum opened an exhibition of original drawings from the collection of the Museum "From Bryullov to Benoit. Era in the drawing".

For the first time such a large scale in one exhibition space displays works of Russian original graphics of the XIX - early XX century. The exhibition contains more than 120 graphic works by famous Russian artists, classics of Russian art. The exhibition shows not only the evolution and characteristics of this type of art, but also an amazing variety of genres, themes, plots, graphic techniques, techniques, from portraits and landscapes to scenes from everyday life and historical retrospectives; of full-scale staging "Studi" of the Stupino school students to an elegant style "World of Art"; from sketches, drawings and sketches to recognized masterpieces of I. Repin and V. Serov.

The storage feature of the original graphics is that it cannot be exhibited often and for a long time. It is a rare opportunity to show, as well as the diversity and level of the material composition of the participants makes the exhibition a unique in a number of other stock museum exhibitions. It is a true gift to all connoisseurs and lovers of Russian classical art.
