Education and society: The lesson, dedicated to the anniversary of the reunification of the Crimea and Russia to be held in schools

In Russian schools will be held the lesson "We are together", dedicated to the anniversary of reunification the Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation, said the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

Recommendations for the content of the lesson are designed and directed by the Ministry to all subjects of the Russian Federation.

Schoolchildren learn about the history of the Crimea since ancient times, about his fate during the Ottoman wars and entering into Russia in 1783, as well as the history of the Crimean War of 1854-1855.

The lesson will focus on the role of the Crimea in the Great Patriotic War and the heroic defense of Sevastopol.

In addition, the lesson will be devoted to modern history and, in particular, the results of last March referendum in the Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the importance of international agreement on the adoption of the peninsula to Russia, signed March 18, 2014 by President of Russia Vladimir Putin and representatives of the Crimea.
