History and culture: The round table “The Russian Abroad and the Russian Avant-Garde” in Moscow

March 5, 2015 the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad (Moscow) holds the roundtable “The Russian Abroad and the Russian Avant-Garde” within the framework of the scientific-popular seminar “The Russian Abroad: Unknown Pages”.

The seminar will host the presentation and the discussion of publishing, exhibition and educational projects, dedicated to the history of Russian avant-garde. There will be touched issues: the Russian tradition and avant-garde; music futurism and avant-garde; the Russian literary avant-garde abroad; publications of Russian futurists and typography of Russian futurism; futurism and avant-garde as the educational strategy – the influence of avant-garde practices on the art education; the Russian avant-garde and contemporary art.
