Internet and culture: A. V. Shchusev Museum of Architecture presents its virtual museum

3 March 2015

A press conference, which will overview the museum's plans for 2015, and will present one of its major projects - a virtual museum of architecture, will be held on March 3, 2015, at the State Museum of Architecture named after A. V. Shchusev (Moscow).

On its website the museum for the first time publishes in such a volume the materials from its funds, which are grouped in seven periods from the ancient times to the 80s of XX century. Interactive 3D-models and virtual tours (unrealized Grand Kremlin Palace designed by architect Vasily Bazhenov of XVIII century, destroyed in the 1920 two Kremlin monasteries - Chudov Monastery and Ascension Convent, belonging to XVI century) are offered to viewers in a special section. Virtual Museum is built in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
